GORF Endorses Call to Save the Mountains of the World

In line with Gorf’s corporate responsibility, Mark Norkum, President and General Manager has recently endorsed the Call to Save the Mountains of the World done during the celebration of the International Year of Mountains in 2002. This is in time when a resolution will be tabled at the United Nations calling universal attention on the call to mitigate global warming and bring about sustainable mountain development.

Mark Norkum and Gorf Contracting Ltd., join the family of endorsers led by the former U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan, His Holiness the Dalai Lama of the Mountain Kingdom of Tibet, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, and other leaders. As well as become movers of  the call whom His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI has given his blessing and encouragement to pursue the cause that seeks the greater good of God’s creation.

John Ryan Largo, HDI Founder/Chairperson and the man who organized the Call to Save the Mountains of the World cited Mark Norkum and the Gorf Contracting Ltd., for endorsing the Call, cognizance of its corporate responsibility and thematic thrust to contribute towards a better North.

Greg Revisa an employee at Gorf Contracting Ltd., and a pioneering member of the Human Development International in the early 80's and a mountaineer paved way for Mark Norkum, Gorf's President and General Manager to endorse the "Call to Save the Mountains of the World".
