Gorf Contracting is responsible for a magnitude of field construction projects. These range from civil works, mechanical installation and structural steel erection. Some past projects that we have completed are steel fabrication and installation interior mill steel, Placer Dome Musselwhite Division. Conveyor and Crushers Mechanical contract, Placer Dome Musselwhite Division. We have built two Cogeneration Plants one in Cochrane, Ontario and the other in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, for Northland Power Corporation. We have built a liquid S02 Plant for Kidd Creek, as well as being involved in all facets of Placer Dome South Porcupine Divisions, upgrading and plant expansions over the last 25 years. Normac equipment provides small tools and heavy equipment to the other operating companies of the corporate group as well third party customers. We are presently working on two projects in our fabrication shop for Grant OSB in Timmins, Ontario the first project is the fabrication and delivery of components for Dryer # 1 and 2 Press Stack and the second project being to fabricate and deliver structural steel for their Turbo Blending Project.
A future project be the Bedding & Unloading Plant at Kidd Creek Metallurgical Site in Timmins, Ontario. This is a civil & mechanical project to upgrade Kidd Creek’s ability to handle custom material and ensure the longevity of their operations for many years to come. Internationally, we have worked on a Greenland project which involves conveyor construction for a sampling plant in the area.
